Long Bio

Jackson Maloney is a singer-songwriter based in Boulder County, Colorado.

Originally from northern California, he moved out to the Front Range in 2012 where he studied creative writing, poetry, and literature at CU Boulder. Although he was penning poems and playing guitar from a young age, it wasn’t until a creative writing class his sophomore year of college that he rediscovered his love for music and the written word. He dove headfirst into artists like Bob Dylan, Dave Van Ronk, Johnny Cash, and Neil Young, trying to emulate and find inspiration for his own songs.

In 2019, Maloney released his first album, Things To Live For, a set of sparsely recorded tracks that displays his lyrical prowess and storytelling abilities. In 2021, he released his second project, Dharma Farm, recorded in the barn-turned-music-venue at its namesake in Hygiene, Colorado where he used to live. His self-titled third album, released April 2023, showcases the originality he’s developed over years of songwriting to deliver listeners a true sonic portrait of Jackson Maloney. His sound is influenced by writers and musicians such as Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Lucinda Williams, and Lonnie Johnson. Find out more about upcoming shows and music at www.jacksonmaloney.com

“…That’s the power of art and creative expression – to convey a level of truth and reality in an electrifying way that undeniably moves the listener, viewer, audience member, reader to the core and inspires them to do something about what they feel. And that’s why I chose and continue to choose art as a career.”
